Students spend on average 13 out of 24 hours a day in their room. So a pleasant and private environment is the ideal answer. Fully furnished to a good standard. An ensuite bathroom or shower would be high priority. Todays students are image conscious. So access to a gym facility also appears high on the must have list.
Unsurprisingly, close proximity to nightlife is a must for the complete university experience. If the bars and clubs are within walking distance, then precious pounds can be saved from expensive taxi fares. Distance from their chosen university is also an issue to consider. Certainly if public transport is to be relied upon. Nice to have elements include any on site entertainment facilities such as a cinema and any handy eatery/cafe.
Mental health issues are high on the agenda these days. So some sort of facility that accommodates for students who are experiencing any issues would be a fantastic addition.
